Mountain Biking the Torreon Trail in the Zuni Mountains

McKinley County has been steadily building trails in the Zuni Mountains of western New Mexico. Several years ago, the county collaborated with the U.S. Forest Service to redesign several legacy trails in the area. The county secured grant funding and hired a contractor for the construction work. Torreon is now one of the iconic routes that comprise over 65 miles of trails in the McGaffey area.
